Elliot C. Beinfest is a Linwood resident for twenty-one years, Linwood City Councilman since 1995, and immediate past president of City Council from January, 2000 through January, 2002. Elliot is an attorney, with a general law practice emphasizing taxation, wills and estates, transactional real estate and commercial matters. A successful New Jersey lawyer since 1980, Elliot's law offices are in Ventnor. City Council responsibilities have included Rescue Squad Committee, Chairman; Administrative Committee, Chairman; Tax Committee, Chairman; Insurance Committee, Chairman, and Municipal Court Committee and membership on Board of School Estimates. In addition, Elliot served as the Public Defender for Linwood for six years, from 1988-1994. An active member of numerous civic organizations, Elliot's volunteerism includes Northfield Linwood Kiwanis, Past President and Member of the Board of Directors; Advisor to Mainland Regional High School Key Club; Northfield Linwood Kiwanis Foundation, Founder, Secretary and member of the Board of Trustees; Jewish Federation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, Vice President, and Coach of Linwood sports teams. Elliot was also a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Linwood Education Foundation. Elliot and his wife, Adrienne reside in Linwood. They have two sons.
Matthew B Levinson was elected to City Council, At large, in November 2009. Matt has lived in Linwood for 21 years; he has attended the Linwood Schools and is a graduate of Mainland Regional High School. Matt graduated from Villanova University (VSB) with a major in accounting and minor in finance. He is currently working as chief financial officer for SOSH Architects. Levinson’s community involvement includes Shore Memorial Leaders Alliance (Treasurer), Stockton College Event Committee Board, Gilda’s Club, Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce and the Metropolitan Business and Citizens Association (MBCA). He is married to Adrien Levinson with a son, Luke.
Donna Taylor was appointed to Linwood City Counsel on May 12, 2004 to fill the unexpired term of Patricia Guerrina. A lifelong resident of Linwood, Ms. Taylor attended the Linwood schools and is a graduate of Mainland Regional High School. Ms. Taylor is a graduate of what is now called The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and the Villanova University Law School. Ms. Taylor is currently an Assistant County Counsel in the Law Department for Atlantic County Government. Her community involvement includes serving as the Atlantic County Coordinator for GROW Republican Women, Vice President for the Mainland Mariners Swim Club and volunteers her time with many of the Youth athletic organizations. She has served as a high school mock trial coach and is a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Ms. Taylor is married to David Taylor and is the mother of three children, David, Sean, and Patrick.
Ralph has lived in Linwood since 1992 with his wife Deborah and their three children, Garrett, Gabrielle, and Gavin. Ralph is very active in the community and was elected to City Council in 2005. Ralph has coached the Mainland United’s U11 boys travel soccer team and head coach of the Mainland Junior Wrestling Team. They are members of the Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Ralph attended Williamstown High School where he successfully participated in soccer, wresting, and tennis. As wrestler Ralph qualified for the nationals and ranked 4th in the country Division Three. Ralph graduated from Ursinus College in 1985 and Delaware Law School of Widener University in 1988, receiving his Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude. Ralph opened his Law practice in 1996 and is a certified civil trial attorney. Ralph has served on the Zoning Board and is a member of the Atlantic County Republican Organization.
Tim moved from Margate to Linwood in 1989 shortly after marrying life long Linwood resident Michele McGinty. Tim was elected to City Council in 2005 and is very involved in numerous local sports. He has been a Planning Board Member since 1992 and coaches Lasar Basketball and U-13 MUSA Soccer. Tim’s two daughters, Colleen and Michaela are active in the travel soccer program and his son Tim plays football, baseball and street hockey. His wife Michele is a special education teacher in the Linwood School System. Tim is a 1982 Graduate of the University of Richmond with a degree in Economics. He is a 5th degree Master in the Martial Art of Tang Soo Do. He is a partner in CJ Adams Company, Inc. |
