All Wars Memorial Park – Rules & Procedures
Use of Park Facilities
- Whenever
any person, group, association or organization desires to use
said park facilities for a particular purpose, such as picnics,
parties or theatrical or entertainment performances or any other
activity, a representative of said person, group, association
or organization shall first obtain approval from the Linwood
Board of Recreation.
- The
application shall be granted, if it appears that the person,
group, association or organization meets all of the conditions
contained in an application form to be hereinafter provided by
the Board of Recreation. The application may contain a requirement
for an indemnity bond to protect the City from any liability
of any kind or character and to protect City property from damage.
Picnic
areas; use.
- No
person shall picnic or lunch in any place in the park other than
those areas designated for that purpose. Any person using the
picnic areas designated above shall not leave a picnic area before
all trash in the nature of boxes, papers, cans, bottles, garbage
and other refuse is placed in the disposal receptacles, where
provided. If no such trash receptacles are available, then refuse
and trash shall be carried away from the park area by the picnicker
to be properly disposed of elsewhere.
- No
person shall use any portion of the picnic areas or any of the
buildings or structures thereon for the purpose of holding picnics
to the exclusion of other persons, nor shall any person use such
areas and facilities for an unreasonable time.
Injuring
park property
- No
person shall willfully mark, deface, disfigure, injure, tamper
with or displace or remove any building, bridges, tables, benches,
fireplaces, railings, paving or paving material, water lines
or other public utilities or parts or appurtenances thereof,
signs, notices or placards, whether temporary or permanent, monuments,
stakes, posts or other boundary markers or other structures or
equipment, facilities or park property or appurtenances whatsoever,
either real or personal.
Use
of rest rooms and washrooms
- Any
person using rest rooms and/or washrooms contained on the park
area, shall cooperate in maintaining the rest rooms and/or washrooms
in a neat and sanitary condition.
Polluting
waters; disposal of refuse
- No
person while in the park area shall throw, discharge or otherwise
place or cause to be placed in the waters of any water fountain
or pond any substance, matter or things, liquid or solid, which
will or may result in the pollution of said waters or which may
impede the operation of said waters.
- No
person shall have brought in or dump, deposit or leave any bottles,
broken glass, ashes, paper, boxes, cans, dirt, rubbish waste,
garbage or refuse or other trash on the grounds of the parks
or playgrounds. No such refuse or trash shall be placed in any
waters in or contiguous to any park or left anywhere on the grounds
thereof, but shall be placed in the proper receptacles, where
these are provided; where receptacles are not provided, all such
rubbish or waste shall be carried away from the park by the person
responsible for its presence and properly disposed of elsewhere.
Use
of vehicles
- It
shall be unlawful to drive or park any automobile or other form
of motor vehicle, motorcycle, minibike or bicycle in the park
area or to park or leave any such vehicle on any place other
than one established for public parking, unless otherwise authorized
by the City of Linwood. Bicycles may be permitted to be parked
in the park area but only at designated areas for the parking
of bicycles.
Animals
- It
shall be unlawful to bring any animals into the park, including
but not limited to dogs, cats or other pets.
Alcoholic
beverages
- It
shall be unlawful to carry, consume or serve alcoholic beverages
at any time.
Sales
of merchandise
- It
shall be unlawful for any person, other than those officially
designated by the City of Linwood, to vend, sell, peddle or offer
for sale any commodity or article within any park, nor shall
said person place any station or stand, cart or vehicle for transportation,
sale or display of any such article or thing within the park.
Signs
and advertising materials
- It
shall be unlawful for any person to paste, glue, tack or otherwise
post any sign, plaque or advertisement or inscription whatsoever,
nor shall any person erect, or cause to be erected, any sign
whatsoever on any public land or highway or roads adjacent to
said park or playground or highway or roads adjacent to said
park or playground area unless otherwise authorized by the City
of Linwood. However, the temporary placement of signs for advertising
purposes may be allowed on the left and the right outfield fences
surrounding the Little League field and on the fence located
next to the soccer field. The aforementioned signs shall be permitted
in accordance with conditions and regulations as may be determined
and promulgated by the Linwood City Council.
Fireworks
displays
- It
shall be unlawful to conduct any fireworks display in the park
area unless a permit is first obtained from the Chief of Police
in the City of Linwood.
Playground
use
- The
playground area is designed for children 5-12 years of age.
- Children
should be supervised at all times.
- Parents
and guardians are responsible for their safety.
